HO HO HO HO...
Few days ago, some of you might celebrate Christmas and enjoy the warmth of the best day of the year.
So do I, celebrate Christmas and feel the joy. Just in a different way with you, pals.
My dog, Celine was giving birth on Christmas day.
No one expected for this situation since the vet said that she gonna gave birth after 60 days of pregnancy, which is on 27th December. But the vet also said that we have to get ready since 25th December, in case it would be premature birth.
Me and my mom never put 25th December on our prediction. We predict that it will be 27th or 28th. But the fact is, Celine was giving birth right on Christmas!
This is Celine, prepare for the next labour.
The first puppy was born with the help of my mom. After that we called DJI SAM SOE, a dog handler who can help during the dog's parturition. He came before the second puppy born.
The reason why we decide not to bring Celine to vet and prefer to call a handler to help during the parturition is because we are afraid if Celine must stay at vet for a night (or more).
What if she suffered disease from other pets that also stay in the vet?
What if the vet force to do caesarean operation instead of let her doing normal labour if it was possible?
And more more negative thoughts about it. I know this is just me and my mom, but each dog's owners may have different thought and opinion, and this is ours.
We think it could be safer to let her stay at home and let us support her during her labour. Beside, the handler also experienced enough.
The "balloon"
So this called the "balloon". I don't know the proper name for it, but the handler called it "balloon". This balloon protects the puppy before he / she delivered to the world.
After the baby born, the handler cut the umbilical cord with thread.
I didn't ask the function of the thread, just sat down and watched how fast he took care the puppy.
A bucket filled with puppies!
In panic, we can't think the better place to keep the first puppy (since it was my mom who help during the labour). So we got a plastic bucket and cover it with a blanket (。→∀←。)
Yay for the milk!
After everything done, the handler taught Celine how to breast-feeding.
So here's the three musketeers, sucking milk for the first time. They were fast learner!
We suggest to watch in 480p (minimum) to get better video quality (o⌒∇⌒o)
Curious about the labour process??
You can watch the video above ;)
It's about Celine giving birth to four adorable puppies.
I also add a special scene about the breech birth process, dedicated for
Holy Priest Christmas of Elmer whose now rest in peace(;へ:)
